Description

A Small and lively ski town which has grown since the introduction of the IKON Skipass and tries to modernize its Liftfleet. The resort is mainly centered for experienced skier and snowboarder. It does feature some bunny hills for families and kids. The main challenge is the "Hells speed" run a 500m black run going from the Poma Gondola down to the curved chairlift.

Description

A sneak peak of an unofficially released map! This new snowball-based map provided the perfect terrain for a well-balanced small resort with a broad range of slope difficulties and lift modernity. It clearly encapsulates realistic slope design with beginner magic carpet serviced slopes close to the base of the mountain and certain lifts servicing specific slope difficulties. Furthermore, throughout the rest of the resort, a more advanced network of trails leads skiers to scattered lifts across the resort of varying destinations and starting points often away from the main base.

Description

A small but rather picturescue resort clearly in the process of undergoing modernisation as cutting edge detatchable chairlifts flirt in contrast to the old poma egg gondola and fixed grip chairlifts. The slope placement is very ellegant and not too intrusive leaving plenty of space for off piste tree skiing.

Description

This is one of most realistic resort designs i've seen in ages boasting high slope densities and a large slope to lift ratio. Besides the high efficiency, I can really imagine myself skiing in such a resort; one factor is it's nice access to back country and another, the tangled mess of intertwining slopes presenting each new run with a new fresh experience! The design is simply superb.

A great artist once said 'Art will never be reborn except from amidst a general anarchy' and the creator of this resort certainly lives by that. Despite the chaos, this resort (in game) is actually quite functional: with lifts that will take you to opposite sides of the map, it forces the skiers to take many more runs to get back to the base making an awesome adventure and distributing skiers on upper slopes. Also, it's awesome to see mods on vanilla maps; we don't see that much!

Description

This behemoth of a Ski Area has 13 Ski Lifts and 80 trails including a 3S Gondola, an 8 pack lift and detachables that will take you wherever you need to go quickly. There are an even amount of trails for each level, making it a very busy resort while still expanding over such a large area. Despite the modernity of the resort, I think you'll still be able to find quieter off piste lines: Whistler Blackcomb better be taking notes.

Description

While this is an older version of Avalanche, it still works great! In this resort, trying to keep it small, there is six smaller lifts along with a huge 8-person gondola. A great aspect is how fast detatchable lifts give access to large blue and red slopes but then there are also less efficient lifts to access steeper and more difficult red / black terrain, which is actually very similar to real life! Furthermore, a 5m run cuts and wheeves its way through the thick forest which is very pretty and almost seems like a glade run.

Description

A creative sandbox resort showcasing how avalanche really releases your freedom! The resort includes good implementation of the 3S lift, detatchable chairs and the traditional yet beautiful 4 poma egg gondola. Quite picturesquely, rocks are randomly littered perfectly making the map just stunning. Also, notice the extremely wide red slope on the third to the left.

Description

A small resort yet you can clearly see alot of effort has still been put into this. Slopes have carefully been planned with the tree brush clearing small areas of trees but making more gladed skiing areas (not functional in game though). Lifts include a high capacity gondola and a fast detatchable chair from the base area with the gondola creating access to a higher chair. This is an immaculate resort demonstrating how it can be used as more of an artistic planning sense rather than a tycoon!
